Why Wunderground is Awesome

Wunderground, formally, Weather Underground, is cool on the desktop because of its detail, Wundermap and mostly because it doesn’t have a bunch of nonsense videos and stuff cluttering the screen like other weather sites.
But the app is swooper cool. Yeah, it keeps you up to date on the weather, the moon cycle and pollen. BUT, did you know you can use it to optimize certain outdoor activity planning?

With Wunderground Smart Forecasts you set parameters for ideal weather windows for activities like hiking, fishing, photography and more.

Specify your temperature, wind speed, humidity level and time of day.

Add Conditions that are acceptable or unacceptable to narrow down the best time for your chosen activity.

Specify what is ideal and what are will willing to put up with.

Save your specifications and it will give you a heads up notice the day before those conditions are predicted to match up.
Maybe there is something better out there but I rather think Wunderground Smart Forecast is pretty great to help you plan your outdoor activities. I have been using this app for weather for years and have enjoyed them so I paid to ‘get rid of ads’ because I like to reasonably support the things I get good use out of.
